Day 47 of 2014/15

Student Expectation:  Students will create a 1 minute commercial for their chosen US state.

Retake on US States/Capitals Tests must be completed by Tuesday, 11-2-14.


U.S. State "Commercial" Project.

Explain timer and procedures for Friday presentations.  Pick a friend to run your presentation while you speak at the front of the room.

This is an experiment.  Show me that you are mature enough to work independently and create a new product

Research your chosen state.  You will be creating a 1 minute presentation to inspire the class to visit your state.  Think of the project like a 1 minute commercial for your state.

Use Google Presentation or Prezi for your presentation.  You have class today to finish the presentation.  You will get up in front of the class on Friday 10-31-14 and give your presentation.  Remember, you  have 1 minute - like a commercial.  You may dress the part for your presentation Friday.  Ex. wear a hat from your state, etc.

Cite your sources by linking the source to your slides.

There are not a lot of guidelines for this project.  Use your imagination and have fun!

Student Expectation:  Identify physical and/or human factors such as climate, vegetation, language, trade networks, political units, river systems, and religion that constitute a region.

Think of 2 to 3 U.S. States (NOT TEXAS) that you would like to work on for a  US State "Commercial" Project later this week.  We will pick states Wed.  Each student will have a different state. 


 Login to Skyward - check answers for Ch. 7 Exam.  Retake must be completed by Friday AM 10-31-14.

50 US States Game - Put game in "Strict Test Mode".  We will all start together.  When you finish, hands off the keyboard.  I will come to your desk to record your score.
